August 24 (Sun): 56th Cipsanke — Traditional Ainu Boat Launch Ceremony
The 56th “Cipsanke” will be held in Biratori Town, Hokkaido. We warmly invite everyone to come and experience this traditional Ainu ceremony.
About Cipsanke
“Cipsanke” means “boat launch” in the Ainu language. It is a launching ceremony for dugout canoes made using traditional Ainu techniques passed down through generations. Held on the Saru River, this event offers a glimpse into the traditional lifestyle of the Ainu people.

### Regarding Boarding the Boat
* Boarding may not be possible due to safety or operational reasons.
* Please note that boats may capsize during the river journey.
* We are not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings.
* Lockers are available inside the Nibutani Ainu Craft Center.
