October 22 (Wed) – 23 (Thu): “Tradition and Ainu Crafts” at Shinjuku Takashimaya 2F — <uturano> Collection on Sale
At the “Tradition and Ainu Crafts” exhibition, held for two days only on the 2nd floor of Shinjuku Takashimaya, the main focus will be on the traditional crafts Nibutani Ita and Nibutani Attus, accompanied by a range of related accessories.
Alongside these works, items developed through the Nibutani Ainu Craft project — including the <uturano> collection — will also be featured.
At the venue, you can meet young craft artists from Nibutani — Shibata Yukihiro and Okamoto Tomoya — who will also be giving live demonstrations.
We warmly invite you to stop by and experience the beauty of Ainu craftsmanship.
At the same time, the “Great Hokkaido Exhibition” is taking place on the 11th floor. If you are visiting that event, please come down to the 2nd floor as well to discover the crafts of Nibutani.
We look forward to seeing you there.
